MICHAEL AUERBACH, FOUNDER & CIO

Michael Auerbach is an entrepreneur, investor, business consultant, media producer, and private diplomat.

He is the Founder and CIO of Subversive Capital Advisor LLC, a registered investment advisor, which is dedicated to investing in radical companies whose core missions subvert the status quo and require sophisticated government and regulatory strategies for success. He is also director of The Parent Company and Canaccord Genuity.  Additionally, Michael acts as lead independent director of Atai Holdings. He previously sat on the Board of Directors of Tilray, Inc. – the first Nasdaq-listed global cannabis company – and holds several directorships with companies that Subversive invests in.

Mr. Auerbach presently sits on the boards of the Theodore C. Sorensen Center for International Peace and Justice, The KiDS Board of NYU’s Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital, Next for Autism, which produces Night of Too Many Stars, Finding a Cure for Epilepsy (FACES), and Sophie Gerson Healthy Youth Foundation.

Mr. Auerbach received an M.A. in International Relations from Columbia University and a B.A. in Critical Theory from the New School for Social Research.

CHRISSIE YIM, COO/CFO

Chrissie Yim was CFO for Privateer Holdings Inc, a pioneer cannabis PE fund, and led multiple successful exits including Nasdaq IPO and SPAC. Earlier in her career, she held various finance leadership roles in e-commerce and retail companies including Zappos.com and JCrew after she built a solid accounting foundation at Deloitte. 

CHRISTIAN H. COOPER, PORTFOLIO MANAGER, CFA FRM

Christian H. Cooper is a former head of interest rate derivatives trading and has traded equities, options, and rates at Credit Suisse, Jefferies, and RBC. He is a graduate of King College and holds both the CFA and FRM designations. Christian is the author and creator of the Financial Risk Management program published in over 100 countries. Christian is responsible for the conceptual design, risk management, and trading of all of Subversive’s funds.

DANIELA DIAZGRANADOS, DIRECTOR OF SALES & MARKETING

Daniela Diazgranados is a recent graduate of the McDonough School of Business, Georgetown University. She has previous experience from her time with Ben Oldman Partners in Madrid, Spain. There, Daniela conducted research for new investment opportunities and was responsible for reviewing credit opportunities to determine potential investments.
